Lidiya Georgieva, France / Macedonia

Graduated in fashion design at the famous Parisian School of Applied Arts “Duperré”, with a scholarship from the French government and a recommendation from M. Christian Lacroix. Also holds a Master`s degree in Graphic Arts. During her studies, she won the European Contest of Young Designers Award in Paris. She has been working as a designer for Rochas, Pierre Balmain and other well known companies in France. Lidiya Georgieva started her own label by the end of 1999, immediately presenting her work in designer shops in France, UK, Italy, Japan and USA. The biggest part of the collections consists of handmade knitwear, combining luxurious yarns with the heritage of artisan skills. She also developed a line of accessories such as leather gloves, and filigree jewelry. In every collection, there is a part reserved for her t-shirts, printed in limited editions and always sold out. From the very beginning, the label had a support from the international press such as: Le Monde, Jalouse, Numero, Elle, Cosmopolitan, Vogue. Her creations have been worn on the Cannes Film Festival and other major occasions, by known models, actresses, pop singers like Madonna and fashion journalists. Lidiya Georgieva also works on art exhibition projects, as well as costume designer for theatre plays and contemporary dance events.
