Ghost project is a design launching post for young talents from the region. Come and learn how you as designer can benefit from Ghost Project.
The Ghost Project is theinitiative of the independent cultural organization Mikser conceived in 2006 as a celebration of the unfailing enthusiasm and ideas of local young designers that remained strictly in the virtual realm. Apart from mapping creative potential for the local industry, annual exhibition of local talents was in fact criticizing the lack of a symbiotic relationship between designers and industry in our country and the region. Since there was virtually no trace of engaged contemporary industrial design in Serbia, the exhibition was labeled a GHOST one, showcasing only 3d sketches and computer renderings by talents awaiting to be recognized and put into industrial production.
Mikser crew is raising the bar every year, elevating Ghost Project initiative from national to a regional talent platform in 2010, then expanding it beyond the Balkan boarder sin 2011 by inviting industrial designers 35 years of age and younger from all over the world to take part in the competition. Following six years of continuous efforts in discovering and nurturing fresh design talents, Ghost Project has nowadays become the central regional Talent platform within "Mikser Festival" featuring more than hundred of designers from all around the world, while it develops special targeted programs and competitions such as “Young Balkan Designers” which bring the international spotlight to the most talented designers of the Southeast Europe at some of the world’s most prestigious design fairs and events.
Enhancing business cooperation between local manufacturers and the most talented domestic designers, platforms Ghost Project and Young Balkan Designers havealready achieved concrete results of putting first products designed by young designers into serial production.
